Audience Engagement Experience

Whether it’s online, via social media, TV, radio or newspapers, knowing our audience is paramount to have an impact that doesn’t stop at metrics — a challenge I’m always willing to take. Here are a few of my audience engagement experience highlights:

  • I created, designed and scheduled daily social media content for X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn during my internship at the International Center for Journalists, helping amplify global journalism initiatives and donor-supported campaigns.

  • I collaborated with the social media promotion of ICFJ’s 2022 impact report by writing the copy, creating graphics and scheduling posts across platforms. This is the post that got the most engagement on X.

  • I wrote and published social media posts for Jogo Limpo, an ICFJ initiative supported by YouTube Brasil to combat disinformation. My goal was to highlight the program’s importance and spotlight the work of participating journalists.

  • As Bilingual Digital Managing Editor of The Independent Florida Alligator/El Caimán, I managed the publication’s CMS and oversaw digital strategy for a newsroom of more than 65 staff members, helping increase bilingual content and engagement.

  • While working at Axios, I copy edited, fact-checked and scheduled local morning newsletters for five different audiences (Chicago, Houston, Cleveland, Columbus, Salt Lake City) across three time zones, ensuring accurate, timely and engaging communication.

  • At Bloomberg, I contributed to the Daybreak and Americas newsletter team by distilling complex business and finance topics into sharp, accessible morning updates for a global audience located in three different timezones.

  • I co-led award-winning bilingual coverage at The Independent Florida Alligator/El Caimán, helping the paper earn SPJ’s Best All-Around Student Newspaper in 2022. Our digital strategy emphasized inclusion and accessibility.

  • At Noticias WUFT, I produced community-focused web stories and social videos that elevated Hispanic narratives and strengthened audience trust in local reporting.
